Client:
Canadian
Business Publications is a leading publisher of subsidy
directories and media guides.
Challenge:
Since
over 5 years, Netmar Solutions is responsible for the database
development of the
Canadian Subsidy Directory. With the 2004
edition, the challenge was to get even more programs than in
the previous edition and to deliver the database in a 4 weeks
time period.
Solution:
By
using the previous year database, we first extracted all
contacts. The second step was to validate every contact
address. After doing so, we could easily go through each
contact's website and load the database with their subsidy
programs. Thankfully, we already surpassed our previous year
numbers with those contacts alone but we kept working hard at
making the 2004 edition a worthy update. After 2 weeks of long
days and evenings of database development, we delivered the
2004 database to our client with 400 more programs than the
previous year! |
